After the first week of introductions, we formed groups based on a certain topic and had our first team meeting to discuss our abilities, strengths and weaknesses. My team was in charge of the topic "Creating a Realistic NPC with Realistic Behaviour". My team members consist of Natan English, Sarah Knipp, Junfeng Liu and Sasank Thirumalasetti(me).
We as a team started researching realistic face animations, Behaviour NPC and if there was already something similar to our goal that we could use. I for one have researched the face animation part.
"Ziva Faces" is a technology that can quickly make animated faces look good in videos or games.
These animated faces can show many different expressions and poses.
The cool part is that they don't take up much space and can work super fast while the video or game is running, making them look realistic.
Ziva Dynamics was primarily known for its expertise in character simulation technology, particularly in muscles, skin, and soft-tissue dynamics for creating realistic digital characters in visual effects. However, face recognition per se wasn't a core focus of Ziva Dynamics at that time. The company may have expanded its offerings or introduced new products since then.
If Ziva Dynamics entered the field of face recognition, it would likely involve the development of technology capable of identifying and analyzing facial features within images or video footage. Face recognition technology typically involves the following key aspects:
Detection: Identifying the presence and location of faces within an image or video frame.
Feature Extraction: Capturing specific facial features like eyes, nose, mouth, and unique facial contours.
Matching: Comparing the extracted facial features with a database of known faces to identify or verify the person.
Deep Learning: Utilizing neural networks and machine learning algorithms to improve accuracy and handle variations in facial expressions, lighting conditions, and pose.
Applications: Implementing face recognition for various applications, including security and surveillance, user authentication, and human-computer interaction.
To get the most accurate and up-to-date information on Ziva Dynamics and its involvement in face recognition, I recommend checking their official website, and press releases, or contacting the company directly for the latest details on their products and technologies.
